Jan Hicks Creates Counted Cross Stitch Pattern. This design focuses on the study of variegated threads. Not only the different styles of variegated threads on the market today (from almost solid/tonal to highly variegated) but also the various ways to stitch with them to highlight these differences.
Model: The floss used is Cottage Garden Threads. Also provided a conversion to DMC. It is charted in both the burgundy colorway and the green colorway. The color names are Burgundy Bark, Geranium and Katie's Blush for the burgundy colorway and Murray Pine, Blue Cypress and Cottonwood for the green colorway. The DMC conversions are Burgundy - 902, 223 and 819 and Green - 501, 503 and 927.
The fabric used for the burgundy model is 40 ct Old Stationary by Seraphim Hand-dyed Fabrics. The fabric for the green colorway is 40 ct Stony Brook by Hobby House Dye Company.
