Designer Ruthie Taylor-Elizabeth Williamson is a classic example of a red house sampler. Elizabeth sewed her sampler in the second half of the 19th century. The pattern is in black and white, and charted for DMC. I believe it is an English sampler, although it has features from Scottish and Welsh samplers.
